Hoofddoel van deze stageplaats 

The Dutch Relief Alliance (DRA) is a coalition of 14 Dutch aid organisations in partnership with the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA). The structure of the DRA enables participating NGOs to respond to major international crises in a timely and effective manner. Find more information on the DRA on the website: www.dutchrelief.org.

The main purpose of the internship is: 1) to support the chair in its daily responsibilities and tasks as well as the other members of the Board of Directors (BoD) in collaboration with the DRA support officer; 2) to provide coordination and communications on DRA’s strategic priorities; and 3) support the working groups and task forces of the DRA.

De RvB is het coördinerende orgaan van de DRA en de belangrijkste taken waarbij de stagiair wordt gevraagd te ondersteunen zijn:

• Support with and coordinate internal meetings and events, like the annual DRA learning days, working groups or thematic meetings;

• DRA-organen ondersteunen bij externe evenementen;
• Coördineren en leveren van content voor de DRA-website en andere kanalen;
• De implementatie van DRA-processen en -prioriteiten ondersteunen;
• RvB ondersteunen bij het opstellen van (beleids)documenten;
• Onderzoek doen naar specifieke onderwerpen;
• Provide hands-on and content support to the different DRA working groups (Quality, Fundraising, Innovation, Finance, Localisation, Visibility, Early Warning);
• Afhankelijk van kennis en interesse, ondersteuning van DRA op andere gebieden.

Essentiële vaardigheden

• Laatstejaars bachelor- of masteropleiding aan een universiteit of hogeschool;
• Goede persoonlijke communicatievaardigheden in het Engels;
• Goede Engelse schrijf- en presentatievaardigheden;
• Goede organisatorische vaardigheden en het vermogen om meerdere taken tegelijkertijd uit te voeren;
• Je bent gepassioneerd door humanitaire hulp;
• Goede beheersing van Microsoft Office (Outlook, Power Point, Excel en Word);
• Je bent zeer gemotiveerd, resultaatgericht en een teamspeler;
• Je bent een zelfstarter die zelfstandig kan werken en graag initiatief neemt;
• Je bent bereid om te leren en je kennis met anderen te delen.

Gewenste vaardigheden

• Eerdere werk- of stage-ervaring is een pluspunt;
• Kennis van het humanitaire systeem.

Criteria om in aanmerking te komen

Om in aanmerking te komen voor een stage moeten studenten voldoen aan de volgende criteria (niet onderhandelbaar):

• Ingeschreven staan bij een universiteit of onderwijsinstelling in de Europese Unie voor de volledige duur van de stage;
• Currently residing in the Netherlands;
• Be available for a minimum of four days a week during office hours (9.00-17.00);
• Have a residence permit in the Netherlands (valid for working purposes and for the entire duration of the internship);
• Have a BSN (burgerservicenummer/citizen service number).
