Wie we zijn

The Dutch Relief Alliance (DRA) is a coalition of 14 Dutch aid organisations in partnership with the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA). The structure of the DRA enables participating NGOs to respond to major international crises in a timely and effective manner. You can find more information on the DRA on this website.

De belangrijkste doelstellingen van de stage zijn:

• to support the chair in its daily responsibilities and tasks as well as the other members of the Board of Directors (BoD) in collaboration with the DRA support officer;
• to provide coordination and communications on DRA’s strategic priorities;
• to support the working groups and task forces of the DRA.

The Board of Directors is the coordinating body of the DRA and the key tasks the intern is requested to support on are:

• Coordinate and support internal meetings and events, like the annual DRA learning days, working groups or thematic meetings;
• DRA-organen ondersteunen bij externe evenementen;
• Coördineren en leveren van content voor de DRA-website en andere kanalen;
• De implementatie van DRA-processen en -prioriteiten ondersteunen;
• Support the Board of Directors in drafting (policy) documents;
• Onderzoek doen naar specifieke onderwerpen;
• Praktische en inhoudelijke ondersteuning bieden aan de verschillende DRA-werkgroepen;
• Afhankelijk van kennis en interesse, ondersteuning van DRA op andere gebieden.

Essentiële vaardigheden

• Masters’ Degree level of studies;
• Goede persoonlijke communicatievaardigheden in het Engels;
• Goede Engelse schrijf- en presentatievaardigheden;
• Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks

Over jou

• Je bent gepassioneerd door humanitaire hulp;
• Goede beheersing van Microsoft Office (Outlook, Power Point, Excel en Word);
• Je bent zeer gemotiveerd, resultaatgericht en een teamspeler;
• Je bent een zelfstarter die zelfstandig kan werken en graag initiatief neemt;
• Je bent bereid om te leren en je kennis met anderen te delen.

Gewenste vaardigheden

• Eerdere werk- of stage-ervaring is een pluspunt;
• Kennis van het humanitaire systeem.

Criteria om in aanmerking te komen

Om in aanmerking te komen voor een stage moeten studenten voldoen aan de volgende criteria (niet onderhandelbaar):

• Ingeschreven staan bij een universiteit of onderwijsinstelling in de Europese Unie voor de volledige duur van de stage;
• Be available for a minimum of four days a week;Have, or be able to apply for, a residence permit in the Netherlands (valid for working purposes and for the entire duration of the internship);
• Een BSN (burgerservicenummer/burgerservicenummer) hebben of kunnen aanvragen.
