Type of response:
The significant events of the past year have substantially impacted the security and livelihoods of the people of Afghanistan. Overall the population is very vulnerable to insecurity and health problems. Food insecurity is increasing and access to clean drinking water and hygiene facilities has been interrupted in some places.
The Protracted Joint Response in Afghanistan will target communities and individuals with high needs and with specific vulnerabilities, such as women, the elderly, chronically ill people, and children.
In this JR, the Dutch Relief Alliance will focus on the following areas of work:
