The Dutch Coalition for Humanitarian Innovation (DCHI) works to develop and scale new solutions to increase the impact of humanitarian action. The DCHI brings together different bodies – including NGOs, businesses and government institutions – to support humanitarian innovation around the world.

The DCHI Annual Event sees these various partners come together to share learnings and best practices – providing inspiration and impetus for the Dutch NGO community. The Hague plays host to this year’s event on Tuesday October 2 – and the DRA is set to play a central role.

The theme of this year’s event is ‘Opening-Up: Growing by Working Together’. Innovation experts from different sectors will take part in the event and key themes will be explored during a number of platform sessions. These sessions will include a special examination of sustainable business models for the humanitarian sector – co-hosted by the DRA.

The afternoon will conclude with a keynote address from Sigrid Kaag – the Netherlands Minster for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. Minister Kaag will also present the 2018 Public Award for the Best Humanitarian Innovation. The event will also see the winning proposals of the DRA Innovation Fund Proposal Call announced.

The complete schedule for the DCHI Annual Event will be regularly updated on the DCHI website.

The DCHI Annual Event takes place on October 2 in the Fokker Terminal in The Hague from 13:00 to 18:00. You can sign up to attend now.
