One Year On: Support from the Joint Response in the Gaza Strip

After the escalation in violence that affected the Gaza Strip one year ago, thousands of Gazans were left in a state of despair: traumatized by violence and without access to basic necessities to live their lives. The Dutch Relief Alliance launched a multi-sectoral Joint Response to provide immediate disaster relief to thousands of vulnerable people in the Gaza Strip.

The Joint Response partners, including War Child, Oxfam Novib, Terre des Hommes and Save the Children, work together with local Gazan partner organizations to provide Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Health, Protection, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and Multipurpose Cash Assistance to households affected by the violence.

The video below shows how DRA partners are supporting the people of Gaza together with local partners, by providing mental health support, access to clean drinking water and sanitation facilities, and supporting livelihoods and food production.
